Friends of the ACLU and art lovers can support the National Capitol chapter of the organization with purchases of Post-It Paintings, which will be exhibited at the Bill of Rights Luncheon on March 26: MCFA and Elkins pledge 20% of the sale price of each purchase to the ACLU-NCA. Although we offer a generous discount for the purchase of multiples, declining the discount represents a greater benefit to the ACLU. The paintings were inspired by drawings on “Post-it(TM)” notes that Elkins made during depositions related to her civil rights lawsuit against the District government. The figure of the Inspector, which Elkins uses extensively in the HOMEwRAP series, dominates the paintings and drawings, which exploit the colorful, square format of “Post-it(TM)” notes.

Fluorescent Post-It Paintings
The artist conceived of the fluorescent Post-It Paintings as a group; we encourage you to consider acquiring all four for the greater benefit of the ACLU-NCA. Together, the paintings complete a quote from one of the city officials who violated Elkins's civil rights, which Elkins has incorporated into several paintings in HOMEwRAP.
Each of the fluorescent Post-It Paintings is 20" x 20" and is oil and acrylic on canvas. The price of each is $1600., or $6000 for all four.
